I own an old car with an old tape player and really crappy speakers, which of course meant that it sounded like you were litening to a radio in a tin can.
Started looking arround the net for cheap but good quality CD players and stumbled across this JVC head unit. I scrolled straight down and read the features, i was impressed and the next thing i then thaught was "o damn, i bet its expensive."
So i then scrolled back up expecting extortion in the wallet department, but no; 45 pounds!! and then to make my day even better FREE SHIPPING!!!!!!!
So i order it straight away and it arrived well packaged a couple of days after ordered as expected. I pulled it out of the box and checked it over, i was already impressed with the untit quality before i even looked at the facia which i then found and was even more impressed with it. It is really well built and the buttons are just right to the touch. The dial for volume and other plus minus functions is really good too.
Installing the unit was a bit of a game but thats because my car is nearly 20 years old, and therefore i had to solder the new connections (given with the unit) to the old wires on the old connections (not trying to blow my own horn but im luckily very good at soldering). This as a small inconvienience but it kept me busy for a bit. BTW, if you have a newer car it should just plug straight in, if not just get your garage to fit it (unless you are confident with wiring/soldering).
As i mentioned before the speakers in my car were just as old as my tape player so they were all replaced with pioneer speakers. I baught 2 6x9" 2 way pioneers for the rear parcel shelf and 2 5x5" pioneers for the front doors.
Connected it all up and i have to say it sounds amazing, and so loud! The MP3 conection is just great and the radio and CD funtion are brilliant!
With good speakers there is plenty of bass and the mids and trebble are good too :)
So all in all it is very good deal and for the price is unbelievable in terms of quality.
Remember tho, a car stereo is only as good as your speakers, dont expect it to sound amazing if you are running speakers from old cars or stock factory speakers, i would recomend upgrading because its worth it. I would recomend pioneers but the best bet is to go to a car audio store and listen to some speakers to make sure that you like the sound of the ones you buy.

Excellent, speedy service. This is the second time I've used this shop (and the second time I've bought this product! My girlfriend was so impressed with it she asked for one in her car. No problems with the service again.

its a great player. i got it 4 my ipod and it works great and easy 2 use. its nice and simple. not 2 flash. i have play cds and it sounds great. i love it thank u xxx
